For Valentine's day it is a tradition started by my mom to make big heart shaped cookies for each member of the family. As you can see I am carrying on the tradition in my own family. I made these and some much smaller heart shaped cookies which we gave to our neighbors. With all that cookie baking it is a good thing that Jared decided to make dinner for us. Yesterday I made treats for Enrichment it had to be a food storage recipe, I started to panic a little when I heard that but luckily Sheridan had a bunch of recipes for me. I made Oh Henry bars and they turned out really well and I even had to use some of my food storage. I also had to put together a poster for about something for Emergency Preparedness. So I found this article about helping children cope with Emergencies and I put that on their and handed out copies of the article. If anyone would like a copy of that article just let me know and I will send it to you. We were able to get four quilts finished last night for our quilting bee one of which I put together yesterday it was pretty fun to get to talk to the ladies there and get to know them better and a quilting bee is a good way to do it. Today Harlan has decided that he is a Super Hero so I had to make him super eggs for breakfast not much difference from real eggs let me tell you. I am hoping now that the stress of the last couple of days is over I can relax and get some stuff done around my house. I'll have to take a look at that article. Sounds like the crazy is over - kick up your feet and rest!
Cool quote! And the cookies look SO GOOD!
I'd love a copy of the article, please. How big are the cookies - it's hard to tell. They look great!
