Time flys by

It has been so long since I have posted it is almost criminal. Gracie obviously had her birthday and she seemed to enjoy it we had our neighbors come over to help us celebrate it. She wanted a Dora cake and since we were leaving for Jared's parents house the next day I kept it really simple.
She seemed to get the thing that she wanted she told us that she wanted a lamp for her birthday ,silly girl, so we found her a pink desk lamp and she was really excited about that.
The kids also really enjoyed the tire swing and you can see in the background some of the wood we have split and stacked it only took us 4 months to get it all done and in the end I think we have about 12 cords of wood, needless to say we won't be doing that for awhile
Shilo is very into climbing things and especially likes to climb on this table and get into things on the counter for the life of me I can not figure out how she gets up there. There isn't anything close enough to help her but she does it anyway. We had a really good time at Jared's parent's house we celebrated my birhtday their and Jared had my sister and her husband come over from Rexburg and surprise he also had my wedding ring fixed which I haven't been able to wear in at least 4 years due to a broken prong. Jared's mom also made me a yummy trifle type dessert for my birthday it was really yummy and just what I wanted all in all it was a great birthday. We also got to go to the rexburg temple while we were down. The only bad thing that happened is that we thought our car had broken down about 2 miles from Chuck and Sue's house. It was almost 11 o'clock at night and Jared and Isaac where coming back from fishing in Ashton. They started to walk but luckily a ward member picked them up and as it turns out they only ran out of gas.
It was pretty funny on the way back from Jared's parents house we had a bag of dirty clothes next to Shilo and she kept pulling them out and trying to put them on. She got the closest with her swim suit. Such a silly girl she makes me laugh alot.The kids really enjoyed spending time with their cousins and the especially enjoyed the pool grandma set up for them. They keep asking me when hinckley and Tay tay are coming back and I keep reminding them that they live by grandma sue now. There is alot more to write about but I will save that for another post. Late night ramblings

Well it is relatively late here for us anyway and everyone is in bed except me mostly because they are all sick well except Harlan but he is always in bed by eight. Jared is even sick and if any of you know my husband well you know when he gets sick he gets really sick none of this halfway stuff for him luckily it does not happen very often maybe once every 18 months. Unfortunately we are planning a trip for this Thursday to Blackfoot hopefully we are all better by then not to mention wednesday is Gracie's birthday not that I have told it is this close because she has been bugging me about when her birthday is for 2 months and I think that if she knew it was that close their would be no living with her. So I caught a picture of my two oldest dancing the other day Gracie is always trying to get Harlan to dance with her he is not always willing. The funny thing is they usually end up dancing to the music during the credits of movies does anybody else kids do this. Gracie loves to dance and would be over the moon if we put her in dance classes but I don't think we will in the near future but that doesn't stop her from plieing any chance she gets. Woah where did the time go

Well I can not believe how long it has been since I have posted. Let see what has happened since i last posted well we went on a trip to Utah and got to go to Avalon's baby blessing and GG and Bruno got to see Shilo for the first time did I mention she was about 15 months old when they finally saw her. the trip was fun and it was great to see everyone but unfortunately I forgot my camera so no pictures sorry. At the end of May I made a graduation cake for a friend didn't take a picture of the either what is wrong with me anyway I had colored some white chocolate blue and as you can see the little snick Shilo got into it and colored herself to match her outfit. She wasn't a whole lot of help and I know all of you are wondering why I didn't have the stuff put up well I did but she can climb up on all my counters so it makes it hard to keep things out of her reach. On June 2nd Harlan graduated from Kindergarten. I personally feel that Kindergarten graduation is pretty silly especially the way our school does it. We had to buy his cap and gown the only comfort to me is that I can use for all my other kids as long as we don't move. Being the good parents we are we still went and supported Harlan although we didn't get him balloons or flowers or a present like alot of other parents did like I said it is pretty silly. My mom was also able to be there but didn't get any pictures of her what was I thinking.
The little girl to the right of Harlan is his "girlfriend" Shamia. She is pretty cute huh. I think that harlan has out grown the girlfriend boyfriend thing because he informed that holding hands and kissing is very gross in fact everytime he sees Jared and I kiss we get a big chorus of ews. We are trying to get in the groove of summer which actuall hasn't been very easy since some of us have been sick all week. Hopefully we can get something done today

Gratefully frustrated

So I have been feeling really grateful lately for my cute children especially Shilo. She has been doing the funniest cute things. Like folding her arms when we say prayer and raising her hand and saying I do sort of when I ask the kids if they want something. Also yesterday when daddy was about to come home she kept running to the front door and patting it and saying da da. And when he comes home she always comes running up to him saying da da da the whole way it is really cute. She is talking alot mostly gibberish but it is cute. And she always has a grin for everyone. There is just something special about that girl she is wonderful. All right I am getting really frustrated about our car it has been in the shop for about a week and a half and apparently they still don't know what is wrong with it and don't know when we will get it back it is hard not being able to go anywhere except at night when jared is home and even then I have only been out once for enrichment night. I am starting to wonder how we will get to church on sunday might have to call in a favor or two or maybe walk it is only about mile or maybe two probably closer to two.

The Haps

The other day Gracie proved why you should always listen to your mother. I am always telling my kids to put their coats up and Gracie didn't listen and because of that she slipped on her coat and hit her head on the couch. It was like one of those cartoon bumps you know when the character gets hit on the head and the bump comes up really fast it happened just like that and it was a little scary but she didn't get a concussion and she is doing fine although it looks like she has a grass stain on her forehead. We have been having car troubles lately the trouble is we don't know what is wrong with the car and neither does the mechanic. So I haven't had a car since last Friday and this weekend is my brothers farewell I might have to miss it don't really want to since it is my last brother to go on a mission.
Two weekends ago my parents were down and we all went to Preston for my Uncle's wedding except Jared and Harlan. My mom and I made the cake and some trifle that was really yummy. On the one night they were at my house my mom gave Shilo a taste of some lime and she didn't really like it at first but liked it more after the second taste. She made some cute faces in the process though
Gracie had an interesting way of putting up the dishes the other day it cracked me up way to use your head girlie. this was before she hurt her head other wise she wouldn't be doing itThis one is for my neighbor who gave Shilo this cute dress. I just love how she fell asleep on her hand like that.

Pinewood derby and more

So I finally got the afghan done that I have been working on for about a month. I really like how it turned out . Last Tuesday we had our Pinewood Derby and since I am the assistant Bear leader we got to go and i made the refreshments which were about a hundred Shamrock sugar cookies it was on St. Patricks day after all. The boys had alot of fun racing their cars and we also had a family race so we made a car and raced it in that. We also invited our neighbors to come they have four boys and I think that they had alot of fun as well Shilo also made a friend her name is Molly and She is in our ward. But Shilo just loved hugging and kissing on her. Shilo Does that alot lately try to hug and kiss on babies and then she tries to poke them.

Since Shilo has started walking she has become a little terror the other day she dropped both my phones in the toilet. And she loves to climb in my windows and dance around she also loves to unload my dishwasher all over the floor. Oh and there is the unrolling of the toilet paper constantly basically we try and keep her out of the bathroom.
She also loves to get in the flour and loves to get in the dish cupboard and pull out all the dishes. Oh and loves to pull out the drawer under my stove and climb in. And she has figured out how to climb down the stairs so anytime anyone opens the front door she makes a beeline for it. Believe it or not their is more the she does but I will stop their because I am starting to bore myself. It is a good thing she is so darn cute because she is a handful and I thought Emery was bad when he was little.

Harlan

Miracle of miracles I am writing a new post I really don't have any excuse just being lazy. Harlan has informed me that he now has a girlfriend at school and when he and Shamia that is her name get big like Daddy and Mommy they are gong to get married. He talk about her all the time and says thing like Shamia kissed me which is yucky. He does like to hold her hand though and the other day he came home with two notes Shamia gave him that were covered in hearts so he has his first love notes. I Personally think that it all is kind of funny but I don't know if I should try nip it in the bud because a part of me is like this is my little boy girls are supposed to have cooties till your 15 at least. One of lifes little dilemas. The other day I went an helped Jared with some trees he is cutting down. I was hefting some heavy logs let me tell you and the next day I was sore. I don't think it helped either that we have just gotten a Wii and Wii Fit. I have some more to write but will save it for another post because I want pictures to go with it
