In over my head

I have been trying to finish a quilt for Harlan's birthday and that is consuming alot of my time we did get our Christmas tree up and it smells great. We only get real christmas trees because growing up my family would go to the mountains every christmas and cut one down they still do actually and it doesn't feel like christmas too me unless I have a real tree. I am also trying to finish my other christmas projects which there are alot of.

But I'm cute

A few nights ago Gracie decided she did not want to eat dinner so she said her tummy hurt. So after dinner when her brothers got a piece of candy and she didn't because her tummy hurt it magically didn't hurt anymore so we told that she lied and still didn't get a piece of candy. Gracie is nothing if not persistent when she really wants something so she kept asking and we kept telling her why she couldn't have one finally she says to me "But I'm cute" and she tried the same thing on her dad it was all I could do not to laugh. At least the girl has good self esteem. The days before Thanksgiving I pretty much spent cleaning like mad I got everything I needed to done so that was exciting I also made 4 pies so go me. all my family except my oldest sister's family and my brother Chad who is on a mission and leaves Tuesday for Portugal was there and my sister-in-law's sister and her family came too so it was lots of fun we played lots of games and even a little ultimate Frisbee not I personally and of course we had the annual who's abs are better contest between my brothers. Obviously there buffness was not passed on to all members of the family namely me. it was crowded and crazy but still lots of fun my mom and I got up at 5:30 on Friday to hit the sales which for us consists of one store Jo-Ann's because once you get your stuff you have to get in line and wait for 2 1/2 hours to cut and buy everything. they all left on Friday after some of my Dad's sisters family stopped and of course played football did I mention my family is competitive and loves sports well some of us anyway namely those of us who are good at it which does not include me. of course i did not take very many pictures which I am regretting because it would have induced fond memories oh well back to real life and all my sewing projects that I have to get done before Christmas Aah hopefully I can do it

Things are progressing

We have made progress on the bathroom as you can see the tile is half done and this is only after two nights of work. When we went to ge the tile at Home Depot Jared killed two mice while we were there and if that dosn't make it bad enough I had to wait by the dead mice for almost 15 minutes for some employee to come and take care of the dead mice. I am a little turned off of that store right now. The kids are wearing some Blankets that I just finished for Sheilia's mom Harlan is wearing a Lion and Gracie is wearing a lady bug. They also have some of their own Harlan's is a bunny Gracie's is a bear and Emery's is a frog my mom made them for my kids but I have made some other's in the past including some for Julie's kids I am just glad that they are done and out tof they way so that I can move on to another project like cleaning my house for my family to come if they come. I got soem good news the other day Jared gets Christmas off hurray I am very excited. I also found out that my brother is getting married but not in the temple so that is kind of a let down but they are planning to go to the temple as soon as possible so that is good. I have to run Spiderman (Harlan) is trying to climb the walls and my little chefs ( Gracie and Emery) are trying to help in the kitchen this usually involves something getting spilled everywhere.

still sick

So just when I think we are all going to be okay then I get whatever is going around our house and the Harlan gets it and then Emery throws up again. We have had one day that is throw up free first in a week so we will see how it goes tummy wise but in the meantime gracie had a runny nose and a nasty cough oh and a slight fever. it just keeps goin in cycles. I just found out the other day that Jared is working both Christmas and Thanksgiving and he worked both last year as well and he has not had a christmas off in four years I am not happy at all about it in fact I am really mad but what can I do. I really hope that this next week goes better we are missing stake conference today because of Gracie and Emery's sniffles. On a good note my family might possibly come down here for Thanksgiving I would prefer to be in Utah with jared's family but I will take what I can get and I really hope it works out. I also got a new calling I am no longer the Enrichment leader they called me to be the fourth sunday relief society teacher. We got a new presidency and they changed everything up I am excited to teach again and hopefully it works out well.

Fun with leaves

We have been having alot of fun raking up all the leaves we got 10 more bags from the front and about 30 bags from the back for a grand total of 65 bags so far and we still have one more tree to drop all it's leaves. Jared had four das of this weekend a rare occurence for him so we had lots of chimney jobs lined up and my nephew got baptized there was alot of driving involved in that because he got baptized in Ontario Oregon and we dorve to Boise about an hour away to confirm him. the reason we did all this is my brother-in-law's father was just diagnosed with acute Leukemia and was in the hospital in Boise for his first Chemo treatment. He really wanted to be there for at least part of it so we confirmed him at the hospital chapel. It was nice I think for us to make the effort because his time might be short. On Sunday which Jared had off instead of goin to church like we wanted we stayed home because of sickness Jared was throwing up all day and the kids all had sniffles. then on Monday night after we got the kids to bed Emery woke up throwing up and threw up all night. so of course in the morning after keepin me up most of the night he was bright eyed and bush tailed and was fine for the rest of the day until dinner where he threw up again and I got to sleep on the couch with him again he didn't throw up after that and seems fine now but it was a couple of long nights let me tell you..I have trying to work on all my christmas projects and have made some progress which I am pleased with becuase I usually don't start until after Thanksgiving but this year I have alot more I am doing so I have to get done. Well I think that pretty much catches everyone up we also took advantage of the eggo coupons since Jared had a ton of them and I bought 56 boxes for .39 cents not a bad deal at all and gave away a case of them there are 12 in a case so are freezer is full. Jared also gave 10 cases to the Salvation Army food bank which I think was very thoughtful of him.

AAH Spiders

So the other morning when I went into the bathroom and found this in my bathtub it is actually alot bigger than it looks on the picture. We have been finding alot of spiders like this lately I even caught one and Jared tried to feed it to the fish we just got from a friend that moved but I saved it and flushed it down the toilet the spider not the fish. This is the part of fall that I hate all the bugs coming in the house. My nephew is getting baptized tonight I am very excited for him and my sister-in-law had her baby last night it is a girl and her name is Camilla they have a whole theme with there names all their kids initials are either JC or CJ becuase that is their initial together they haven't picked a middle name yet but it will be something with a J. I am excited she had a girl because then my baby will have a cousin the same age that is the same gender what fun they will have together. Okay I need some help there is this song that I have been trying to find and I don't know the name or who sings it I just know part of the song so if anyone recognizes it let me know who sings it. Here goes " I don't need a pretty face don't want just anyone to hold I just need you and your beautiful soul" I know that isn't much and the words are probably not totally correct but that is all I can remember.

As you can see the kids had lots of fun and Emery even kept his hat on most of the time except when he was eating of course. Harlan wanted to keep goin and to more houses but Gracie did not want to so we did not stay as long as Harlan would have liked. All in all I think it was a successful Halloween.
