First haircut

My cute little sweet devilish girl Shilo got her first haircut tonight now I know she is over 2 years old and I know she has super long hair but I have never cut it and since we were cutting everybody elses hair tonight I thought why not so as you can see it was fairly long
now as you can see the girl has hair to spare which unfortunately she is always getting food and snot in it gross I know. And now for the big reveal da da dum..........
AHHH what have I done? What was I thinking? where is my baby girl that child is way to grown up to be mine. Oh well she is still cute and hair grows right. At least her cute smile hasn't changed

For your information

I know I am long over do for a post. Can you believe how big and cute are little guy is getting the time seems to just fly by he is 4 1/2 months old now and is always smiling at everybody and laughs alot too. the only problem I have is keeping the other kids especially Shilo away from him she likes to pick him up by his head and also likes to wake him up and then comes running to me saying Baby's crying. I am getting very excited for school to be out I can't wait for summer that and I am tired of getting my kids up and ready for school every morning. they like to goof around rather than get ready and instead of yell at them all morning I am trying to let them see what happens when you don't manage your time wisely as a result we have missed the bus a couple of times this week
My sister Brita and her husband Blake and their adorable little girl Sadie came over for Griffins Baby blessing and Gracie just loved holding here isn't she a little doll
I think that the baby is wearing daddy out he has not been sleeping very well at nigh lately we are going to try and give him some rice cereal hopefully it helps because mommy is very tired. Jared is just grouchier when he is tired so we try and help him to get as much sleep as possible so he is not a bear.
This is my brother who's wife is going to have a baby in July congrats holding Griffin at the dinner after his blessing. Don't you just love the outfit my mom made for him it was really cute although we had to make some adjustments so it didn't look like a clown suit. over all though he was pretty cute in it
My dad and my niece Jayda taking a little nap at the blessing. Now their is kind of a joke behind this picture. Awhile ago I made a magnet board for my parents with pictures of the family decoupaged on the frame and my dad looks at it and says why am I asleep in all the pictures of me. And it is then we realize that their are alot of pictures of my dad sleeping so this one is for you dad at least you are not sleeping alone

Can you belieave how big our little guy is getting already he is now almost two month give him another week and he'll make it he keeps our life very interesting to say the least and we love to make him smile which isn't very easy
Shilo had a birthday this past month and is now two I can't believe how big my little girl is getting it seems she was just born. She got a stroller for her birthday and loves pushing her babies around that girl has a thing for babies especially her brother which is good and bad. Good when she is being sweet and soft in her loving bad when she is trying to maul him and wakes him up
Emery also had a Birthday this past month and is now 4 years old he wanted a super man cake and since I had scouts that day we did not go really elaborate and yes he wanted chocolate icing. He got a GI Joe wallet and pokemon cards and a batman toy and is already planning his next birthday. He also informed me when he turns 5 he will be as big as Harlan not likely but at least the boy has goals
Another big milestone for Emery is that he stopped sucking his thumbs. He started when he was about 5 or 6 months old and was an ambidextrous thumb sucker but thanks to bribes and transformer band-aids he no longer sucks either of his thumbs for about a month now.
Harlan was chosen to be student of the month at school he has been working really hard at everything especially his reading. He went from being below grade in his reading at the begining of the year to being an accelerated reader and is even reading simple chapter books like the magic tree house series. Hopefully now my posts won't be so jam packed with info I will stay caught up I feel like I have given every one an information over load.

So Here he is Griffin Keith born at 8:35 PM on december 29th he was 8lbs. 5 1/2 oz. We are so glad to have him in our family and he is a such a sweetheart. And Aubrey sorry it took me so long to post I don't know what is wrong with me
So Shilo is such a funny girl and is always into something the closet is one of the things I don't mind too much if she gets into. What do you think of the hat I made her sister has one that matches and scarves too.
Shilo is in love with her little brother and it is great except when she wakes him up or decides to lay on him. But she always lets me know when the baby is tying in her words

Let's play catch up

I know what you all are thinking your posting on Christmas and such seriously, but well having not posted for three months I have to play some catch up. So to start here is a picture of my children in the Christmas pj's I made well the pants any way I am in love with my girls pants the kids really enjoyed Christmas of course and the best part Jared did not have to work and I know most of you are thinking how is that a big deal. Well for the last 5 Christmases Jared had to work and it stinks for your husband to work on Christmas. So for all of you who got to the grocery store on Christmas day shame on you.
The day of Harlan's birthday he had a school program which he had a part in he was an adorable mouse and had to memorize 7 lines and did an awesome job if I do say so myself so we weren't able to celebrate until after the program
Harlan wanted a batman cake and being a little rushed for time with everything going on that day so we went really simple with the bat signal he was pleased though.
I took reindeer cupcakes to his class for his birthday they turned out really cute I thought. I have so much more to post about like our new baby but that will have to wait for another day

Halloween among other things

So for Halloween we went for a circus theme Harlan was a clown, Gracie was a Lion tamer hence the whip in her hand, Emery was a strong man and his shirt says World's Strongest little Man and Shilo was a lion which was actually Harlan's costume when he was little but it was great to finally reuse one and it went with our them so there you go
Gracie's hair was fixed up so cute for our ward trunk or treat I just had to take a picture. We went to my brother's house for Halloween and it was alot of fun I could not believe how many trick or treaters they had though we usually get maybe 5 or 6 groups and that is it. They even had a little kid show up just before 10 o'clock.
For a little while my kids had a thing for the Laundry chute especially Emery he would go down it and then hang there and call for mommy to get him out. Fortunatley this only lasted a couple of weeks and nobody got hurt.
My kids are total Daddy's kids the minute he comes home everyone is excited to see him why don't I get this when I come home maybe it is becuase I am never gone and always here
Shilo and Emery had a lot of fun with Harlan's clown wig please ignore the pile of Laundry in the background. I was kind of funny the day of our ward's trunk or treat which was the Thursday before Halloween we had all the costumes set up and ready to go but Harlan's wig disappeared. I put it in his pile but when he went to put everything on it was gone and we looked everywhere for it couldn't find it so he didn't have a wig for the trunk or treat. But the next day gracie found it in her dresser drawer how it got there I don't know so he got to wear it for Halloween

Time to catch up

So my funny little girl somehow got into this cupboard I don't know how and she didn't remove the box of drinks to get out the funny thing is once she got in she couldn't get out by herself. My kids are getting a little excited for school Yesterday we went to register Gracie when there was registration in the spring we didn't have her Immunizations or her birth certificate yet. Her teacher is Mrs. Crosswhite I hope she is good she used to teach 4th grade at our school and before that taught kindergarten at a private school. I could have gotten the same teacher that Harlan had but really wanted a change not that his teacher wasn't great because she is, but she is a little scatter-brained and when you already have a scatter-brained mother you don't need a scatter-brained teacher.
We went camping up at cascade last month and had a blast it is gorgeous up there we also went on a hike to a place called Blue Lake it is about a mile hike down to the lake and I do mean down. The hike in wasn't so bad and as you can see from the picture of the fish Jared caught the lake is beautiful. The hike out on the other hand was a little different. As you can see from the picture of the meadow we went through there were some flat spots. There was also some really steep spots about a half mile worth needless to say we had to take alot of breaks mostly for me so I could catch my breath. It was worth it though. There was one spot were they had it seemed like hundreds of butterflies I have never seen so many butterflies in one spot in the wild before
The trip was fun and we were sorry to have to come back but Jared and I needed our bed since we didn't have a air mattress or anything except the ground to sleep on except sleeping bags of course and also we ran out of mosquito repelent and somebody wet there sleeping bag the last night so it was time to come home

at the beggining of this month we had a family reunion at my grandparent's house it was great to see everyone and we all had a good time despite the rain and the water rocket launchers that Jared made were a big hit.
I did something kind of stupid next Teusday is the first day of school it is also my first doctor's appointment I did not plan that well. Jared is being a sweetheart though and is coming with me to everything because he got the day of. I am very excited to find out when I am actuall due. I don't think we are finding out the sex of the baby though. Anyway I think that mostly catches everybody up on what we have been up to now I just have to keep you caught up.
