Let's play catch up

I know what you all are thinking your posting on Christmas and such seriously, but well having not posted for three months I have to play some catch up. So to start here is a picture of my children in the Christmas pj's I made well the pants any way I am in love with my girls pants the kids really enjoyed Christmas of course and the best part Jared did not have to work and I know most of you are thinking how is that a big deal. Well for the last 5 Christmases Jared had to work and it stinks for your husband to work on Christmas. So for all of you who got to the grocery store on Christmas day shame on you.
The day of Harlan's birthday he had a school program which he had a part in he was an adorable mouse and had to memorize 7 lines and did an awesome job if I do say so myself so we weren't able to celebrate until after the program
Harlan wanted a batman cake and being a little rushed for time with everything going on that day so we went really simple with the bat signal he was pleased though.
I took reindeer cupcakes to his class for his birthday they turned out really cute I thought. I have so much more to post about like our new baby but that will have to wait for another day

Halloween among other things

So for Halloween we went for a circus theme Harlan was a clown, Gracie was a Lion tamer hence the whip in her hand, Emery was a strong man and his shirt says World's Strongest little Man and Shilo was a lion which was actually Harlan's costume when he was little but it was great to finally reuse one and it went with our them so there you go
Gracie's hair was fixed up so cute for our ward trunk or treat I just had to take a picture. We went to my brother's house for Halloween and it was alot of fun I could not believe how many trick or treaters they had though we usually get maybe 5 or 6 groups and that is it. They even had a little kid show up just before 10 o'clock.
For a little while my kids had a thing for the Laundry chute especially Emery he would go down it and then hang there and call for mommy to get him out. Fortunatley this only lasted a couple of weeks and nobody got hurt.
My kids are total Daddy's kids the minute he comes home everyone is excited to see him why don't I get this when I come home maybe it is becuase I am never gone and always here
Shilo and Emery had a lot of fun with Harlan's clown wig please ignore the pile of Laundry in the background. I was kind of funny the day of our ward's trunk or treat which was the Thursday before Halloween we had all the costumes set up and ready to go but Harlan's wig disappeared. I put it in his pile but when he went to put everything on it was gone and we looked everywhere for it couldn't find it so he didn't have a wig for the trunk or treat. But the next day gracie found it in her dresser drawer how it got there I don't know so he got to wear it for Halloween

Time to catch up

So my funny little girl somehow got into this cupboard I don't know how and she didn't remove the box of drinks to get out the funny thing is once she got in she couldn't get out by herself. My kids are getting a little excited for school Yesterday we went to register Gracie when there was registration in the spring we didn't have her Immunizations or her birth certificate yet. Her teacher is Mrs. Crosswhite I hope she is good she used to teach 4th grade at our school and before that taught kindergarten at a private school. I could have gotten the same teacher that Harlan had but really wanted a change not that his teacher wasn't great because she is, but she is a little scatter-brained and when you already have a scatter-brained mother you don't need a scatter-brained teacher.
We went camping up at cascade last month and had a blast it is gorgeous up there we also went on a hike to a place called Blue Lake it is about a mile hike down to the lake and I do mean down. The hike in wasn't so bad and as you can see from the picture of the fish Jared caught the lake is beautiful. The hike out on the other hand was a little different. As you can see from the picture of the meadow we went through there were some flat spots. There was also some really steep spots about a half mile worth needless to say we had to take alot of breaks mostly for me so I could catch my breath. It was worth it though. There was one spot were they had it seemed like hundreds of butterflies I have never seen so many butterflies in one spot in the wild before
The trip was fun and we were sorry to have to come back but Jared and I needed our bed since we didn't have a air mattress or anything except the ground to sleep on except sleeping bags of course and also we ran out of mosquito repelent and somebody wet there sleeping bag the last night so it was time to come home

at the beggining of this month we had a family reunion at my grandparent's house it was great to see everyone and we all had a good time despite the rain and the water rocket launchers that Jared made were a big hit.
I did something kind of stupid next Teusday is the first day of school it is also my first doctor's appointment I did not plan that well. Jared is being a sweetheart though and is coming with me to everything because he got the day of. I am very excited to find out when I am actuall due. I don't think we are finding out the sex of the baby though. Anyway I think that mostly catches everybody up on what we have been up to now I just have to keep you caught up.

Time flys by

It has been so long since I have posted it is almost criminal. Gracie obviously had her birthday and she seemed to enjoy it we had our neighbors come over to help us celebrate it. She wanted a Dora cake and since we were leaving for Jared's parents house the next day I kept it really simple.
She seemed to get the thing that she wanted she told us that she wanted a lamp for her birthday ,silly girl, so we found her a pink desk lamp and she was really excited about that.
The kids also really enjoyed the tire swing and you can see in the background some of the wood we have split and stacked it only took us 4 months to get it all done and in the end I think we have about 12 cords of wood, needless to say we won't be doing that for awhile
Shilo is very into climbing things and especially likes to climb on this table and get into things on the counter for the life of me I can not figure out how she gets up there. There isn't anything close enough to help her but she does it anyway. We had a really good time at Jared's parent's house we celebrated my birhtday their and Jared had my sister and her husband come over from Rexburg and surprise he also had my wedding ring fixed which I haven't been able to wear in at least 4 years due to a broken prong. Jared's mom also made me a yummy trifle type dessert for my birthday it was really yummy and just what I wanted all in all it was a great birthday. We also got to go to the rexburg temple while we were down. The only bad thing that happened is that we thought our car had broken down about 2 miles from Chuck and Sue's house. It was almost 11 o'clock at night and Jared and Isaac where coming back from fishing in Ashton. They started to walk but luckily a ward member picked them up and as it turns out they only ran out of gas.
It was pretty funny on the way back from Jared's parents house we had a bag of dirty clothes next to Shilo and she kept pulling them out and trying to put them on. She got the closest with her swim suit. Such a silly girl she makes me laugh alot.The kids really enjoyed spending time with their cousins and the especially enjoyed the pool grandma set up for them. They keep asking me when hinckley and Tay tay are coming back and I keep reminding them that they live by grandma sue now. There is alot more to write about but I will save that for another post. I hope you all are having a great summer we sure are

Late night ramblings

Well it is relatively late here for us anyway and everyone is in bed except me mostly because they are all sick well except Harlan but he is always in bed by eight. Jared is even sick and if any of you know my husband well you know when he gets sick he gets really sick none of this halfway stuff for him luckily it does not happen very often maybe once every 18 months. Unfortunately we are planning a trip for this Thursday to Blackfoot hopefully we are all better by then not to mention wednesday is Gracie's birthday not that I have told it is this close because she has been bugging me about when her birthday is for 2 months and I think that if she knew it was that close their would be no living with her. So I caught a picture of my two oldest dancing the other day Gracie is always trying to get Harlan to dance with her he is not always willing. The funny thing is they usually end up dancing to the music during the credits of movies does anybody else kids do this. Gracie loves to dance and would be over the moon if we put her in dance classes but I don't think we will in the near future but that doesn't stop her from plieing any chance she gets. Woah where did the time go

Well I can not believe how long it has been since I have posted. Let see what has happened since i last posted well we went on a trip to Utah and got to go to Avalon's baby blessing and GG and Bruno got to see Shilo for the first time did I mention she was about 15 months old when they finally saw her. the trip was fun and it was great to see everyone but unfortunately I forgot my camera so no pictures sorry. At the end of May I made a graduation cake for a friend didn't take a picture of the either what is wrong with me anyway I had colored some white chocolate blue and as you can see the little snick Shilo got into it and colored herself to match her outfit. She wasn't a whole lot of help and I know all of you are wondering why I didn't have the stuff put up well I did but she can climb up on all my counters so it makes it hard to keep things out of her reach. On June 2nd Harlan graduated from Kindergarten. I personally feel that Kindergarten graduation is pretty silly especially the way our school does it. We had to buy his cap and gown the only comfort to me is that I can use for all my other kids as long as we don't move. Being the good parents we are we still went and supported Harlan although we didn't get him balloons or flowers or a present like alot of other parents did like I said it is pretty silly. My mom was also able to be there but didn't get any pictures of her what was I thinking.
The little girl to the right of Harlan is his "girlfriend" Shamia. She is pretty cute huh. I think that harlan has out grown the girlfriend boyfriend thing because he informed that holding hands and kissing is very gross in fact everytime he sees Jared and I kiss we get a big chorus of ews. We are trying to get in the groove of summer which actuall hasn't been very easy since some of us have been sick all week. Hopefully we can get something done today

Gratefully frustrated

So I have been feeling really grateful lately for my cute children especially Shilo. She has been doing the funniest cute things. Like folding her arms when we say prayer and raising her hand and saying I do sort of when I ask the kids if they want something. Also yesterday when daddy was about to come home she kept running to the front door and patting it and saying da da. And when he comes home she always comes running up to him saying da da da the whole way it is really cute. She is talking alot mostly gibberish but it is cute. And she always has a grin for everyone. There is just something special about that girl she is wonderful. All right I am getting really frustrated about our car it has been in the shop for about a week and a half and apparently they still don't know what is wrong with it and don't know when we will get it back it is hard not being able to go anywhere except at night when jared is home and even then I have only been out once for enrichment night. I am starting to wonder how we will get to church on sunday might have to call in a favor or two or maybe walk it is only about mile or maybe two probably closer to two.
