Gary's Cake

This picture is long over due. I made this cake for my brother's wedding in August and I just now got a picture from the photographer I really need to remember to take a camera when I do cakes. I really like how it turned out and it was a nice surprise for me to see it again because I had forgotten what it looked like. Oh and the frosting is pastry pride and the flowers are fake ones that I scrounged from the decorations at the reception.

Janelle's cake

This is a picture of the cake my mom and I did back in December for my cousins wedding. I didn't bring my camera so I had to wait for my mom to e-mail me a piture. Just so you know I did all the design work on the cake and it turned out pretty good I think considering all the problems we had with it like cracking fondant (my mom made a bad batch) and the design getting smeared. I called it the evil confection. But my cousin loved it and I think it looked pretty nice so in the end alls well that ends well.

Uh this is just random

We have these glasses that came with a toy doctor's kit and the kids like to take turns wearing them and I think that they look just plain silly and then I got looking a little closer at Harlan's and I have decided that if these glasses were black rather than blue he would be a shoe in for Harry Potter what does everyone else think.
I am having a lazy party today who wants to join me oh wait I still "get" to make breakfast, lunch, and dinner oh and there is laundry to put away and more to wash and wait I have birthday gifts to make and oh wait someone got more dishes dirty okay maybe I will have a do what I am actually supposed to be doing instead of being lazy party. Last night was cub scouts and we had a planning meeting which took forever but we have a great blue and gold banquet planned and the pinewood derby planned and this months pack meeting planned. I never realized how much they do in cub scouts having five brothers you would think I would remember but maybe they didn't do as much I don't know it just seems like alot.

The changes

This picture is from Christmas eve and gracie wanted a picture of their matching hair she loves it when I make anything for her and her sister to match. okay the changes are not really that big of a deal and I am sorry to leave everyone with a cliff hanger. The changes are like I said in the last blog I am watching a little neighbor dillon who is 4 and really easy to watch except he comes at 6:30 in the morning so I have to be up before than. I am getting paid for it so that is nice to earn a little extra income and according to Emery he is his Bestest freind those are his words. Also they changed Jared's work schedule so that he is working 10-7's on some days and 3-midnights on others this has been a big adjustment for our family the kids have to be alot quieter in the mornings so daddy can sleep. It is going to take some time for us to adjust but hopefully we will

Poor Girl

Shilo has had a rough couple of days yesterday at chruch she fell and bonked her head on one of the chairs in the foyer than in Relief Society one of the other little girls pushed her over and she hit her head on one of the folding chairs and then when we came home she fell part way down the stairs her daddy caught her before she went to far and then today she pulled a little bench on herself needless to say the girls is sporting some nice bruises other than that she seems fine. Emery also fell and got a nice gash in his head today so it has been a fun day to say the least. now I need to get cracking on the house cleaning and get ready for family night . At least Dillon had gone home he is a little boy I am watching two days a week and his mom got called into work so I watched him today as well usually it is just Thursday and Friday. Some interesting changes have happened atour house lately but I will write about those later

hats and clothes

So I made these hats for my girls and they are super cute if I don't say so myself I am haveing a little to much fun with crocheting because i can't seem to stop but my girls look cute anyway. And yes I made some hats for my boys I just don't think they are as cute and to be completly honest these are not the only hats I made for my girls For Christmas Jared gave me gift cards to Cabela's, Macy's, Barnes and Noble, Bath and body works, and Cold stone creamery so the day after Christmas I went to Macy's and because they had such awesome deals I was able to get three pairs of pants five shirts and three Jackets and an outfit for Shilo which is incredibly adorable so this is a picture of one of my new outfits isn't it cute. I also went to Bath and body works and got a bunch of yummy smelling lotions and bubble bath I am in love with their Wild Honeysuckly fragrance. Now I know all of you Ladies are saying Cabela's he got you a gift card to Cabela's which is what I kind of said in my head when I first say it but then he told me that he got it so I could get a back pack so we could go backpacking together. Jared and I really love to go hiking together and have wanted to go backpacking for years so I am very psyched to go hopefully this summer. We went to get the backpack on the 5th and everything went great until on the way back it took us an hour and 45 minutes to get home it normally takes about 25 minutes and were crawling and even stopped alot of the way I hate traffic.
Shilo is getting really big and even close to walking and well this picture was just to cute not to put on my blog

Look what I made

So crazy stuff going on at our house these are some pictures of the blankets I made for Sher's girls for christmas the flower is Hinckley's and the Zebra is Taylor's I also made a Ladybug for McKay but since I have already posted a picture of another ladybug I had made I decided not show hers but is is cute. I made Kimball a book bag because I figured she was a little old for the blanket.


Things have been great here I just wish the snow would stay long enough for us to enjoy it we really want to go sledding but it seems that whenever we have the time the snow has melted already. Harlan is back in school wich he is very excited about I did not enjoy taking all the kids to the bus stop in the snow storm yesterday though. My joy about my camera was short lived unfortunately it is still going through batteries I am up to about four or five pictures though Maybe someday i will replace it but for now I am just going to deal with it. I have alot more pictures to post but will save those for another day.
