I have been wanting to post some pictures of how our house is coming along and some pictures of the kids but I can't find the cord for my digital camera argh cords are the bane of my exsistence. We are trying to watch less TV around our house we watch way to much so we are limiting it. So far it is going well Harlan I think gets a littl bored mommy is not very enertaining I geuss. Last weekend we went camping at Manns creek it's near Weiser Idaho about an hour and a half from our house. It is really pretty up there and it was fun to rough it for a night I hope we go camping more because I love it. I wish I could post some pictures but like I said can't find the stupid cord. Gracie's party is this Friday and I am making a cake for Kimball's birthday party on Saturday so this should be a fun week. I am supposed to make a wedding cake on the 6th of July and making one for my sister whose wedding is on the 21st when it rains it pours right. Well hopefully I will be able to post some pictures soon.

So the other day Harlan did somthing that was I thought really neat and you other parents might think that hey my kid does that all the time but for me it was a big deal. I feel I should give a little background on Harlan just so everyone understand why this is a big deal to me. Harlan does not like to do certain things he would rather have mommy or daddy do it and no matter how hard we try he will not do it himself this especially applys when it comes to drawing I can never get him to draw a picture of anything he always wants me to do it for him he will color things just fine and loves it but won't really draw very much if I make him he mostly just scribbles and won't even attempt to draw anything. So the other day while we were sitting in church during sacrement meeting he turns to me and says "Mom I want to draw a picture of you". I said fine and was a little distracted taking care of three kids by yourself during sacrament is not easy (Jared was at work). so next thing I Know he hand me this picture of me that though it was no picasso it was certainly recognizable as a person. The best part was that he looks at me and says "wait you need glasses" and gave the picture glasses. Since this Harlan has been drawing alot more stuff without prompting. You may read this and think htat I am silly but I am really proud of Harlan he can be really stubborn about some things and it is so nice when he trys something on his own with out us forcing him to do it. On another note last night was my first Enrichment and it went all right we didn't have a very big turnout only maybe 12 sisters but I learned alot and understand my calling better. Next week is Gracie birthday and we are going to have princess party if anyone has any ideas let me know so far I have a few but seeing as how this is my first kid birthday party were friends come I want it to be really great. Ahh I realized to day it has almost been a month since I have posted I cannot believe how the time flies by and I can't believe I have fallen so behind in my posting. Well in the last month I got a new calling I am Home, Family and Personal Enrichment leader I am kind of sad not to be teaching on the 2nd sunday anymore but am looking forward to my new calling. Emery has started walking really well this past week and it is about time. Harlan's big accomplishment is making his bed all by himself for twoweeks straight and I didn't even have to tell him to do it everyday most days he did it on his own. Gracie is as dramatic as ever but she is really sweet to. We have the kitchen mostly done and Joy of joys I finally have a dishwasher I have been without a dishwasher for 8 months and let me tell you I have really missed having one. I am sure I will I have more to write in the coming days but right now my brain is in a fog and I can barely keep my eyes open

It has been the craziest last couple of weeks as you can see by all the photos we actually put sheetrock in the room upstairs but that is what it looked like after we tore down all the paneling and ceiling tiles I will post agoin later I have to take the boys to the doctor and am out of time

This picture is a before of an upstairs room we are working on we have torn off all the paneling and ceiling tile and put up sheetrock. You are all probably thinking that I fell of the face of the earth but that is not the case. I just haven't posted for awhile for various reasons. the wedding cake my mother and I made turned out really well I don't have a picture yet but will get one soon. we have been working really hard on the house lately since we are getting new cabinets on the 30th there is alot of prep work we have to do some more walls to knock out and sheetrock to put up it is very exciting to see alot of stuff get done. we are also one step closer to having the bathroom done I am veryexcited about this all. Harlan went to a special children's dentist yesterday and we found out that he has alot of cavities and may even have a baby crown put on one of his teeth I guess they are different than adult crowns. We couldn't get any x-rays of his teeth due to th fact that he wasn't very cooperative. So on the 18th of may he will go in to the hospital and get put under and they will do all the cavities at once you are probably wondering why he won't just get them done in the dentists office well at his age he wouldn't hold still and it would be very traumatic for him to be awake and hve them hold him down and hold his mouth open. I am little scared for my boy but hopefully everything will go well. On the 16th of May I am getting a root canal so it should be a fun week for our family. I am hoping that I can get some work done on the yard done too we have alot of little trees that have sprung up and weren't taken out like they should have been so I am going to have to be a tree killer because these trees aren't in good places such as the middle of my rosebushes.

On Monday Emery was playing with the phone and I took it away and hung it up and tight away I got a phone call back and this is how it went. me: "Hello" operator:"Hello somone from this number just dialed 911 "me "My son was playing with the phone he must have dialed it by accident" operator:"Well since it was a suspicious call we will still send an officer out". So the officer came out saw that everything was fine and it was all good. It sure made for an interesting morning let me tell you . I am right now at my parents house my mother and I are working on a wedding cake for a really good friend of the family. It should be really awesome we are really excited to do it.

The Dentist is not my friend

So I went to the Dentist and he took some X-rays poked around a little and told me I need a root canal and a crown put in. Great so I am still in pain and I have to wait for the other dentists office to call me and schedule a appointment for a root canal. I really don't have very good teeth in case you can't tell Jared on the other hand has never had a cavity and does not take good care of his teeth. I am taking Harlan in for his first appointment on the ninth. Conference so far has been awesome what I've caught of it. It is so cool that it is in the Old tabernacle. One of these days I hope to be there in person when we have conference.
