Eight things that happened yesterday
1. Emery spilled chokecherry syrup on his chair and himself not the messiest or grossest thing that happened that is yet to come
2. I acquired 20 new FHE lessons in a swap
3. Got in a fight with my husband I think we may still be fighting I can never tell with him
4. cleaned of my desk it was much needed
5. did Laundry but that happens just about every day
6. learned what collating is and how nice it is when you have alot of copies to make
7. Had waffles for dinner hence the spillage of the syrup
8. okay here it is if you have just eaten or don't like to read about gross things i suggest you skip this part. yesterday Emery had a poopy diaper and I changed his diaper and while I turned to the side to get the new diaper he had diarrhea all over the chair and his jammies mostly on his jammies and this happened twice it was disgusting to say the least and so not the highlight of my day.

I am still around

So I felt guilty for not getting pictures of Halloween my camera is still not working and that is partly why I haven't posted that and I have been lazy. I was given more grapes to can the other day and we have somebody staying in our house for I don't know how long. It is a guy who works with Jared he is disabled and needs help getting back on his feet he is in Shilo's room so while he is here she is sleeping in our room it has been interesting to say the least. I really don't see much of him he stays in his room most of the time although he does help clean up after dinner. I am trying to get back in my groove my house has really suffered from all the canning and costume making I have been doing. It has really been interesting for me this whole school thing trying to understand how the teachers mind thinks and why she does things they way she does. Yesterday was my day to bring snacks for Harlan's class at first we had snck weeks which was alittle intimidating and then we got a letter letting us now they changed the snack schedule but they didn't tell us how they had changed it or when we were supposed to bring them. I did finally get a schedule a month and a half later. Anyway we have had crazy days here and lots of other fun stuff and the leaves are falling and so far we have bagged 23 bags just from the front yard and there are more falling so much fun although all that bending over to pick them up makes me dizzy. Hopefully now I can try and keep upon my blogging too

So I think I am done canning I really hope I am I have done peaches, grape juice, applesauce, apple pie filling, pears, pear sauce, pear honey, green beans and a ton of Jam. Gracie and Emery are back from my mom's and had a blast. I did not plan on doing so much canning this year but I geuss we were blessed to be able to get all the produce we did. I just rememberedI am going to help Sheridan can pumpkin next week do maybe I am not quit done. I really like your tag Sarah so I decided to do it

2. Who eats more? Looking at us you would think me but he does

3. Who said I love you first? he did and then I said I think I love you too

5. Who is smarter? Book smarts me common sense smarts totally him

6. Who is more sensitive? Well it depends Jared can be pretty sensitive when other people (not me) aren't feeling good or need help but I cry easier and am more sensitive with the kids

7. Who does the laundry? I do although Jared did it one time to be nice and then told me "See it is not hard to get it all done at once"

8. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Right now I do but Jared changes it on me every once and awhile

10. Who cooks more? I do although Jared made some Brats the other day that were super yummy

11. What meals do you cook together? Uh well that would have to be when he grills and I do all the prep and make the side dishes

24. What is his greatest quality? His compassion for others Jared is very giving, his work ethic he is the hardest worker I know so Kudos to Chuck and Sue.

Scattered

So I feel like I should post although it may seem a little scattered I am feeling a little fuzzy it might have something to do with the fever I have been running since Sunday. Monday my mom came and took Emery and Gracie to her house for a week it is kinda strange having the house so quiet but she picked a good week since I am not feeling well. I am still canning i finished all the apples and yesterday our home teachers dropped of some rhubarb so I get to make more strawberry rhubarb jam and the pears Chuck and Sue brought are starting to ripen I am drying most of them but will probably make pear sauce too. I really need to get feeling better fast maybe if I get a good night sleep something that hasn't happened in two nights. Enough of my lamenting. Jared had the last five days off and we went and gleaned potatoes and Jared and D.J. went up to the mountains and got wood and Jared had quite a few chimney jobs so when he is off it seems like we are more busy than when he works.

Where has my brain gone

I have really becomne forgetful lately and it is not on purpose I will admit that in the past their are things I tried to forget that I had to do mostly because I don't want to do them. It is really starting to bug me and I need to do something about it maybe actually write things down or something. Shilo is starting to crawl and I was excited until I realized how much more clean I will have to keep my house, but I am excited to see her progress she is determined especially if we leave the remote in her sight. So I ended up canning about 140 jars of peaches that is an estimate I didn't really count didn't really want too. Now I have a whole bunch of apples to do thanks to my mom and Jared's. I have been drying them mostly we love dried fruit it never lasts very long. I am also waiting for the pears that Jared's mom brought to get ripe and then I will do something with them. I have to give big Kudos to my mom and Jared's they both are super awesome. Last week Jared's mom and dad brought us some zucchini, and pumpkins for the kids and all the pears and apples and some pickles and of course chokecherry syrup the only thing jared will eat on his pancakes and waffles. Today my mom and dad stopped by and brought apples and a whole bunch of tomato soup and salsa my mom canned as well as some corn on the cob and tomato's and peppers, potatoes and empty jars because I am totally out of jars but not stuff to can. I seriously don't know what we would do with out our parents and the bounty of their gardens. It really helps our food budget also Jared and I are a little spoiled him with chokecherry syrup and me with my mom's tomato soup it is really good. Today I worked on my brother's baby's blessing dress and it is almost done and very cute. This is really the crazy time of year for me with canning and halloween I need to get cracking on my kids costumes they are going to be way cute. I am sorry I have no pictures to post my camera is still wacky hopefully I will remember to get it fixed soon. I hope you all are enjoying the beautiful fall weather.

Taking a breath

So I have meant to post for a week now it just has been a little crazy on Sunday not this last but the one before Jared got to come to church with us it was nice. I heard at church that they were done picking at the church orchard and we could have whatever was left so Monday morning I went out and picked a whole bunch of green peaches. While I was there the battery on the van went dead luckily someone was there and I had jumper cables so all was well. I also went to another orchard and bought some ripe peaches and some pears to dry. So Monday I canned peaches and Teusday I canned peaches and cleaned my house because the book club met at my house. Wednesday I finished the ripe peaches I had bought and we had our neighbors over for dinner It was fun to get to know them. Thursday I watched Sher's girls while she worked in the school library we do this every thursday there is school. And since it was Jared's day off we worked on the house and canned pears . Friday I canned pears and I also had been drying them all week. Saturday I went to check on my green peaches and found that quite a few were ripe and instead of cleaning my neglected house like i had planned I spent the day canning peaches. Sunday was my cousins mission homecoming so we went to that. Monday I canned more peaches and we went to dinner and Family night at Sheridan and D.J.'s. Jared's parents are visiting for the week so they were there too and they brought us pears and apples and zucchini from their house. Luckily the pears and appples aren't ripe yet so maybe I will get a day to clean my house. Oh and this morning Jared brought in a big bag of plums which I am drying this morning. Last Monday on my way out to pick peaches I saw a reader board sign outside a church that said Call or text your prayer request and then listed a number I hadn't realized that God had gone mobile but apparently he has. I think I have canned about a hundred quarts of peaches I am getting close to running out of Jars I just hope I have enough for applesauce and apple pie filling. So I have more cleaning and plums to do so I need to go.

Fall is in the air

I am so excited for fall maybe it is the colors I don't know but I love it. I went to the PTA meeting last night and now I am the secretary in my defense there aren't alot of people in the PTA so we kind of took who ever would do it thus the girl who can't keep track of her own finances is in charge of the groups finances. I have been a bum this week I really need to kick it in gear for next week I have alot of projects that need finishing. On Teusday Jared helped to teach a coupon class in our ward the laday in charge really knew alot and I learned alot it was very enlightening she gave us lots of websites and tips to save money on our grocery bill so I am very excited if you want to know some of the tips ask and I shall tell you. I have the best neighbors they are always bringing me little gifts and today they brought me a fall basket with mums and apples and candy in it they are always doing stuff like that it makes me so gald to have them for neighbors.
