Our new baby Ramsey Paul Bryan Has been dubbed the Cuteness around our house. And I know I sound like a prideful parent but since I have confirmation from outside sources he really is adorable. I don't know if it is the chub which my other babies were seriously lacking in or the sweet smile but he is seriously cute. He has brought so much joy to our house and has smiles for everyone
So Shilo has claimed this stuffed dog that also moves that Chuck and Sue gave to the kids as her own and has named him Rocky. Rocky has taken on a life of his own he now comes to the store with so Shilo won't be scared. She tried to bring him to church but I would not allow it. And the other day Daddy took Shilo and Griffin to the store and told Shilo Rocky could not come. So Shilo brings him upstairs and proceeds to tell me how to take care of him while she is gone. She told me watch him very carefully and don't take your eyes off him. And if he gets cranky put him to bed because sometimes he gets cranky. Also I have to carry him a certain way or he might bite. It was all I could do not to laugh but she was so very serious and adamant I thinks she said at least five times don't take your eyes off of him. Rocky continues to be carried all over and can only be laid on soft things and quite often ends up on Shilos lap during dinner. I can't help but laugh at my girl.
So on Monday we invited a family with six kids to stay in our house for as long as they need because it was that or have them sleep in their truck. I feel a little bad because we have them all crammed in one room. Jared is desperately trying to finish one of the rooms downstairs so they can at least have two rooms. It is actually going better than I thought it would and hopefully they can find a place soon not that they aren't welcome, I just think they would be more comfortable in their own place.
So I know I am a terrible blogger, I just feel taht I have to have a picture with my blog and since my camera broke probably 6 months ago I feel weird posting without a picture. I have to write about my funny girl Shilo I don't what it is about the girl but she is always saying the funniest things I swear none of the other kids were this amusing but then again I have mommy brain which forgets everything. here is a short list of things said by the girl which might amuse you. "oh a mirror, oh it's working" "Daddy: Shilo why are you so pretty? Shilo: the bathwater washed my uglies off an now I'm pretty" " Mom I have love in my eyes. Love like you want to kiss." This last one was said while staring at a 10 year-old boy I was watching. Last but not least "Boys don't come upstairs Gracie's modest."
I usually think that I am pretty tough moderately speaking I mean I did have 5 kids with no drug assistance. But last night I was up late taking a relaxing bathe and I heard this thumping in the other room curious I went out and saw in the dark something flying around so I turned on the light thinking it was a bird and lo and behold it was a bat, loud screams ensued. I called for my husband and ran back in the bathroom. After an adventure with a broken broom and a baseball bat as well as a smashed picture frame the bat was dead. My heart is still racing just thinking about it I hate bats. We still don't know how it got in the house, I wish I knew. Thankfully my husband was able to face his fears and take care of it but was literally shaking I never thought in our area we would have a problem like this I am sure I will be hearing things all day, oh what is that thumping noise in the chimney.
So my daughter turned 4 a few months back and just before that she decided that she loves orange and yellow and every times she sees anything those colors she goes into raptures about how she loves it and it is beautiful (this includes bathroom stalls). So for her birthday I crocheted her a skirt and I can't decide of it is cute or a little too much so I am asking for opinions from anyone who might read this is it cute or not
I was trying to get the feeling of spring in our house with a birthday cake for a friends daughter. I must say it is not my best work but since she didn't pay me I told her you get what you get. 
we also had a lot going on at home with a wedding, birthday, scout camping trip and a sick little boy who becomes a cling monster when he is sick so all in all it wasn't to bad but there is room for improvement.
So griffin had a birthday a few weeks ago and sadly my baby is now 2. It has been very strange for me since with all my other kids when they reached this point I was either pregnant or had another baby since I am neither I feel a little weird and I want to shout at Griffin stop growing stay my baby but as we all know this does not happen.
Griffin got a foam sword for his birthday and the first thing he id is pick it up and say fight what a bloodthirsty boy. Harlan had pinewood derby last Teusday and he wanted a BSU bronco car so I painted the stripes and the logo on all freehand I might add. I am a little prideful about it but hey it turned out pretty good I think
This is a picture of a cake I did for my cousin around new years I got to try some new techniques with it and I think it tuned out pretty well. and one more cool thing the zebra striped layer the cake inside is also zebra striped.
Is anyone needing some quality leaf raking time please feel free to come on over to our house we have leaves to spare. So we had a bit of an adventure at our house the other day it all started with the mini flood in our basement. After finally getting the water to drain we noticed our washer was leaking water tried running a load and more water. Let me state now I am very grateful that our basement is not carpeted. the up side is i got a new to me washer and dryer. The reason we got both is the fact that for the last month and a half I have been drying most of my clothes on our dining room chairs. So yeah I have a washer and dryer that work.
My mom makes the cutest blankets for the kids on their first birthday. Griffin loves wearing his puppy blanket all over the house. Shilo is really funny every time I take a picture she trys to sneak in to be in it. Griffin will fall asleep anywhere I love how kids can do that .
Said in a very concerned tone "Mommy you lost your balance" reply "Yes Shilo I lost my balance"thoughtful pause and then "Don't worry it will come back" laughter then ensues from Mom. that Girl makes me laugh and for another funny here is one from Emery. "Mommy my ear hurts can we go to the doctor so it will get better right away" Mommy replys "Emery even if we go to the Doctor your ear won't get better immediately" Emery "Why not" Mommy "The doctor is not a magician" Emery said in a pathetic little voice "than can we go see the Magician". These keep me going all day
Have you ever had a dream about somebody that you haven't seen in years and it seems totally possible. I had one of those last night and what makes it more strange for me is the fact that I rarely remember my dreams. I am sure you are all dying to know what the dreams was about just kidding. It was about my cousin-in-law Sara the distinction is important not because I don't like her on the contrary I do really like her but I don't want her to be confused with my numerous cousins who are not in-law. Any way I digress in my dream Sarah came to visit (I spelled with and without an H because I am not sure how she spells it) with her daughter Jaydn and for some reason they were moving to Colorado which I am sure they wouldn't do but they wanted to talk to my husband about it because he lived there for awhile there was some other funny stuff which I will leave out so that Sara doesn't get mad at me. But that dream has stuck with me all day and I keep thinking about Sara and her family I hope they are doing good and not moving to Colorado. Also some more random thoughts about a month and a half ago I went through an experience that really affected me physically and emotionally. I had a miscarriage and it really made me realize how important friends are and how you need to make the effort to reach out when you are in need and not just expect people to know what you need because they really can't read minds. I hope everyone is enjoying the great fall weather I really love Fall
I hope everyone had a great Halloween as you can see the kids went for the classic halloween monsters everyone especially loved Griffins mummy costume and no we did not wrap him in toilet paper I was much more clever than that. We actually had a trunk or treat for our ward on the 21st and the kids and I left right after for my parents house so i could help her with a wedding cake I don't have a picture of it yet but it was funky and fun. of course we ended up leaving Shilo's ghost costume there which I didn't discover until the last minute so we improvised it wasn't as nice as the original but it worked. On Halloween we had a party with my brother's family and some friends of ours he made arapes for us it is a venezualan dish and they are really good.

So lets see I have this problem where I don't feel like I should post without a picture but for some reason haven't been taking pictures of anything lately not that there isn't anything to take pictures of I just haven't. My kids are back in school and emery is in kindergarten which kind of blows my mind and it is a little strange on the days he is in school because I only have two. I might sound a little punchy because I am really tired after being up for most of the night with Griffin he was throwing up all night. I wish i knew what was wrong. This month has been our month for being sick Harlan had a fever last week and Gracie got a UTI with a temperature of 103 a week and a half ago she is much better now. So far Shilo and Emery have been spared but I am knocking on wood. I am starting to realize that Halloween is around the corner and it is actually getting cool enough in my house for me to start baking again. I really love the fall season even though we end up bagging at least 60 bags of leave full grown trees are alot of work. Enjoy the weather wherever you are
This last week has been an interesting week Jared was gone most of the week at scout camp so I got a little taste of what it is like to be a single parent I must say it has a few perks but not many give me my husband any day. On wednesday my mom came by and we made an elephant blanket for my niece Ella's birthday . Gracie was kind enough to model it for me, I think it turned out pretty well considering we didn't have a patterns for the face

of course he always has to give hugs to say sorry though I don't think Jasper appreciated his apology he is not quite as sociable as griffin
We went to my brother's mission homecoming at my parents house and Jared got some pictures of the kids this is one of the better ones at least Griffin wasn't screaming his head off in this one
This is a cake I did for my cousin's wedding last December and I think it is one of my new favourites it turned out really well kind of matched her dress
I did this cake for a relief society brunch I really enjoyed doing it and got to try some new techniques
So this is a birthday cake for a little boy's first birthday i think it turned out pretty cool and Kari I was not trying to copy your cake this is just what they wanted.
I think one of the biggest things that happened this last year was Harlan being baptized on New year's day we are so proud of him for taking this step and can't wait for what the future holds
I really don't have a good reason for not blogging for what has it been a year but I have decided to get back in the groove. my kids are as crazy and cute as ever. Griffin is walking and talking up a storm I love how he calls his sisters Lilo, and Sacie and his brothers Memry and Hanan. Shilo is as ever a cute little devil lately i keep finding her in my cupboards eating things she is not supposed or just taking a nap myself I would prefer a bed but to each their own. Emery has acquired a "girlfriend" who is 10 years older than him but being the ladies man that he is he has informed her that when they get older they can get married and he will be the dad and she will be the mom. Gracie is my little mama who tries to take care of every one but also has her many dramatic moments. Harlan has really gotten into watching dance shows and trys his own dance moves he definitely didn't get his dad's fear of dancing in public. Hopefully I can get some pictures on soon we got a new computer and haven't transfered any of the pictures yet so we will see.
So last month when we got back from our trip to Utah and Idaho we were home about three hours packing for a camping trip to garden Valley. I was feeling a little tired once we got up there that night and got everything set up we were there two nights and slept at two different camp grounds. after exploring the second day we found we liked better
we went on a nice hike our last day the kids enjoyed it I just wish we could have gone farther but they got a little tired or maybe I got tired of carrying the baby
and of course we enjoyed many smores Shilo had an interesting way of eating them right of the stick with out roasting it at all and she insisted it be on the stick. Most surprising though was the fact that Emery rather than Shilo got the messiest all in all it was fun though 
the high light of the trip is when the kids found their stick guy who is sitting on our mantle now. he has arms and two pine cone eyes and was only made by nature no hot glue involved I promise
what is going on here that I have not taken the time to blog unfortunately a whole lot of nothing I am mostly being lazy
Gracie had her Kindergarten graduation and bein the procrastinater that I am I was up till 2 o'clock the night before finishing her dress but didn't it turn out cute
We left the next day to go to Utah and Idaho it was great to see everybody. Shilo who usually freaks out over any animals just loved carrying grandmas kitties around we are making progress she no longer screams when she sees a dog 
we also enjoyed some time with GG and Bruno Griffin even got to snuggle Bruno
We also got to spend time with Aaron and Kari wich was so fun Kari and I made 4 cakes together and like a bajillion cup cakes okay maybe only 40 to 50. But it was fun and I really enjoyed doing it. We even got our first corn on the cob of the year very yummy
